Bedspreads & blankets
If you are looking for a quick and inexpensive way to refresh your bedrooms without the inconvenience of re decorating, our throw bedspreads might just be the answer. They are available in a variety of colours and designs that will complement your existing curtains. Our throws are diamond quilted with 100gsm wadding. They are completely washable. The design is on both sides of the bedspread for all sizes except super king.
Decorative bed runners
A recent intoduction to this range of textiles is the Bed Runner. These are decorative bands of fabric, sometimes quilted and have two primary functions, One, to protect the bed linen from dirty shoes when guests “crash out” at the end of a hard day, and also to add a splash of colour to your room.
Due to the popularity and convenience of the duvet, blankets are slowing disapearing from everyday life. The traditional blanket mills that used to grace the North of England are no more and the mills that remain offer a very small range of to choose from.Generally these days blankets are stored in the hotel wardrobe as a emergency blanket rather than on the bed.
Wool, nylon, acrylic and polyester blankets
The traditional wool blankets are still woven in the UK with the Merino Wool blanket being the “Rolls Royce” of blankets. Over the past 20 years or so natural fibre blankets have given way to the more popular and robust man made fibre blankets such as Nylon, Acrylic and Polyester. These blankets are lighter yet offer excellent warmth. They are cheaper than their Wool alternatives and launder better.
Once again I would very much like to thank you for a quick and efficient service you provide, this must be the sixth year we have ordered from you. My very large order arrived on time, with the badge and title correctly embroidered on the items stated. The uniforms launder well and keep their colour, as you can appreciate this is important in a kitchen. We remain your loyal customer.
